ARC Raiders Ready for New Testing Period

Embark Studios’ ARC Raiders is preparing to meet players with a new technical test process that will begin at the end of April. The developer team, known for The Finals, states that this test will be the biggest test yet. Players will have the chance to experience the game’s basic mechanics and shape its future with this test.

ARC Raiders Details

ARC Raiders is positioned as a multiplayer and mission-based extraction shooter. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world and focuses on players struggling to survive by landing on a surface filled with machines called ARCs. Players will play characters called “Raiders” and fight against both enemy AIs and other player teams.

The second technical test, which will start on Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox and PlayStation 5 platforms on April 30, will be the most comprehensive test Embark Studios has ever conducted. Players who want to participate in the game can apply directly through Embark’s website or through the Steam page. The feedback obtained during this process is expected to play an important role in the development of the game.

The first technical test was carried out towards the end of 2024 and introduced players to elements such as combat mechanics, equipment collection and combat with machines. However, the extraction system, which was the starting point of that test process, had not yet been fully presented. It is expected that clearer information will be obtained about how this system works with the new test, which will start on April 30.

While the extraction shooter genre is becoming a rapidly growing sub-category in the gaming world, ARC Raiders also aims to be an important part of this competition. The fact that Bungie’s similar game Marathon entered the closed alpha process during the same period shows how intense the competition in the genre has become. Whether ARC Raiders can strengthen its position in this area will become clearer during the upcoming testing period.
