Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory DLC Announced
Ubisoft has made a big announcement that will delight fans of Assassin’s Creed Mirage. The series’ latest Middle Eastern adventure returns with a new expansion. This DLC, titled “Valley of Memory,” was unveiled on the game’s second anniversary and will offer players the opportunity to continue Basim’s story in a new landscape.
Valley of Memory DLC to be Released Tomorrow
Ubisoft announced the Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory DLC with a short teaser trailer. The trailer shows protagonist Basim Ibn Ishaq and supporting character Dervis traversing a long valley to reach a deserted area. This scene, with ancient ruins visible in the distance, suggests that the DLC will carry a mysterious exploration theme. Ubisoft announced that the expansion will be fully unveiled tomorrow at 7:00 PM ET.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage, released in late 2023, returned the series to its roots with its story set in ninth-century Baghdad. Players experienced the young thief Basim’s initiation into the Hidden Ones sect and his rise to assassination. The game was met with critical acclaim for its atmosphere and return to classic Assassin’s Creed gameplay, bolstered by the subsequent New Game Plus and permadeath modes.
The new DLC was reportedly partially funded by Savvy Games Group, an affiliate of the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia. The setting is also said to be in modern-day Saudi Arabia. However, Ubisoft emphasized that the expansion was developed “under its full creative control” and was free of external interference.
One of the most important details about the Valley of Memory DLC is that it will be free. Ubisoft confirmed that the package will be available to all Mirage owners. Furthermore, since the game was added to the Xbox Game Pass library in August, subscribers will also have access to the expansion.
The Assassin’s Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory DLC is notable for its timely arrival in time for the game’s second anniversary and its new depth of insight into the series’ Middle Eastern roots. New secrets about Basim’s past and themes related to ancient civilizations draw players back into the shadows of silent assassinations. The trailer will reveal even more details about this new chapter in the Mirage universe.
