What Features Does the ASUS ROG Ally 2 Come With?

One of the most striking points in the new model is the AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme added to the processor options. This new generation chipset is designed to offer higher performance compared to the previous Z1 and Z1 Extreme processors. A smoother and higher quality gaming experience is especially aimed on mobile platforms. On the RAM side, three different memory options will be offered: 16, 32 and 64 GB. The 64 GB RAM option stands out as a rare feature among portable devices.

The device’s screen will be 7 inches in size and will have Full HD resolution. Thanks to the 120 Hz refresh rate, VRR support, and FreeSync Premium features, images will be presented more smoothly. This means a smoother experience, especially in fast-paced games. These emphasis on screen quality reflect ASUS’s goal of taking the visual experience to the next level.

In terms of design, the ROG Ally 2 comes with a larger battery and an improved cooling system. Therefore, although the body of the device has thickened slightly, improvements made to the joystick and trigger buttons aim to provide more comfortable use. In addition, the new coating on the back surface provides a better grip for long-term use. These details once again show how important ergonomics are in portable gaming devices.

On the storage side, users will be offered three different options: NVMe SSDs will be offered in 512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB capacities. There is also microSD card support. The ports include USB-C, a headphone jack, and a ROG XG Mobile port for external GPU connection. On the software side, the device will work with Armoury Crate SE 1.5 and will come out of the box with Windows 11 operating system.
