Battlefield 6 Weapon System Changes

Battlefield 6 is making significant changes to the gameplay system, reshaping the weapon and class dynamics. The development team stated that they are open to player feedback in the new system, and each class has access to all weapons. However, class-specific advantages and equipment will continue to protect the role identity of the players. How these changes will be received will be shaped by the comments from the players.

How Will the Class and Weapon System Work in Battlefield 6?

In the new system, all classes can use all the weapons in the game. However, each class has its own equipment, grenades and special advantages. In this way, players gain flexibility, while their class identity is not completely lost. For example, the Recon class can hold their breath longer when aiming with a sniper rifle. Even if other classes use the same weapon, they cannot benefit from this advantage.

Another distinctive feature of the Recon class is that it can automatically mark enemies when aimed. Such advantages encourage players to stay within their own class roles. In this way, both tactical diversity is maintained and different combinations can be tried according to personal playstyle. The development team states that this system aims to strengthen the “just jump in and play” experience.

Battlefield 6’s server performance tests will be held between May 23-26. This test is being conducted both to see how the servers perform under load and to gather early feedback on the new class system. A registration guide has also been published for players who want to participate.

The development team will hold a new community feedback session in the coming weeks to evaluate how this system is received. This balance between weapon freedom and class loyalty can significantly shape Battlefield 6’s gameplay.
