While there were talks of the game being delayed following Ubisoft’s recent restructuring, a leaked figure image suggests that there may still be activity behind the scenes of the Black Flag Remake.

The leak was brought to light by xj0nathan, who has previously shared many accurate pieces of information. The figure, listed on the online sales platform Vinted and said to be of Edward Kenway, is claimed to be being prepared for the Black Flag Remake, which is planned for release this year. Details in the shared image suggest that the figure may have a revamped look rather than the classic Black Flag design.

Although there are rumors that the game has been delayed from 2026 to 2027, the possibility that the figure’s production process has already begun is noteworthy. In large projects, it’s common for marketing and licensed merchandise to be prepared months in advance of the game’s release. This suggests the figure may have been ordered before plans changed.

On the other hand, Pure Arts’ statement last year during a live stream that “something is happening” regarding Edward Kenway has been recalled in light of this leak. The company stated that a 1/8 scale statue would be shaped according to this new situation. This statement strengthened the belief that remake rumors are not just gossip.

Ubisoft has yet to officially confirm this, and therefore, it remains unclear whether the figure is truly connected to Black Flag Remake.
