Black Jacket Release Date Announced

Black Jacket stands out as an interesting game that combines classic blackjack logic with roguelite deck-building. Developed by Skystone Games and Mi’pu’mi Games, the game takes players to a dark afterlife filled with restless spirits. The goal is to find a way out of hell by making the right moves at the table and winning enough money.

Black Jacket Released May 12th

Black Jacket will be released on May 12th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC. On PC, the game will be available via Steam and the Microsoft Store. The game is based on blackjack rules but doesn’t leave it as a traditional card game. With each run, you strengthen your deck, bend the rules, and try to create increasingly crazy combinations against your opponents.

In this game, winnings aren’t just about the score. To escape hell, you need to convince the ferryman—that is, pay generously. Therefore, every bet becomes crucial. Taking too many risks can quickly bankrupt you, but playing too cautiously can make it harder to gather the strength needed for escape. The real tension of Black Jacket lies in this delicate balance.

The cards, however, can do much more than just play a regular blackjack deck. You can increase or decrease your opponent’s card values, force them to take risks, check your own deck, exchange cards, or uncover hidden combinations. Artifacts, card types, and curses will allow you to develop different strategies in each match.

Opponents will only be shown with their hands, and in each encounter, you’ll try to understand their playing style, curses, and stories. This transforms Black Jacket from a simple card-counting game into a character-driven, atmospheric roguelite experience. For card game enthusiasts, a very different option is coming on May 12th.
