Bloodlines 2 Will Make Enemies Fight Each Other
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is poised to offer players a dark atmosphere alongside extraordinary powers. The series’ new trailer showcases the abilities of the Ventrue clan, making it clear that these powers will add a whole new level of depth to the game. Turning enemies against each other through mind control, influencing a crowd of innocents, or completely immobilizing an enemy appears to be some of the game’s most striking features.
The Powers of the Ventrue Clan in Bloodlines 2
The trailer, released on the World of Darkness YouTube channel, revealed how the Ventrue clan operates. Known as the Clan of Kings, the Ventrue have always held a leading role in vampire society. This is primarily due to their mind-controlling abilities.
Ventrue Abilities
- Terminal Decree › Enemy kills themselves.
- Possession › Looks through an enemy’s eyes and directs them to attack another.
- Mass Manipulation › Ends a battle by completely stopping a group of enemies.
- Cloud Memory › Makes an enemy forget they’ve seen you.
- Flesh of Marble › Reduces physical damage.
- Resilience › Restores more health when drinking blood.
In the trailer, Terminal Decree allows enemies to kill themselves. Possession allows you to look through an enemy’s eyes and direct them to attack another. Mass Manipulation can completely stop a large group of enemies, turning the tide of battle.
Beyond offensive power, defensive and stealth-focused abilities are also noteworthy. Cloud Memory can make an enemy forget they’ve seen you, while Flesh of Marble reduces physical damage. Resilience makes survival easier for a bloodthirsty character. Cloud Memory is especially crucial in a world where vampires must keep their presence a secret.
The Ventrue’s gameplay style is quite appealing to those who don’t enjoy direct combat. Instead of doing the dirty work themselves, they control others to fight, reflecting this clan’s regal ways. Just like in the tabletop RPG, the Ventrue act as a leader: giving orders but never getting their own hands dirty.
