Capcom Spotlight February 2025 and Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase: All Announcements

Capcom offered a full program to gamers with both Capcom Spotlight and Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase at the February 2025 event. Many important announcements were made at the event, from Monster Hunter Wilds’ second open beta to new Onimusha projects. The release date of Capcom Fighting Collection 2 was also announced.

Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta 2 and New Details

Monster Hunter Wilds’ second open beta test will be available to players between February 6 and February 9 and February 13 and February 16. In this beta test, the game’s flagship monster, Arkveld, will be encountered. Arkveld will test players’ skills in a challenging mission. Additionally, additional content such as Gypceros hunting, a new training area, and online private lobbies will be included in the beta test. Private lobbies are an ideal option for those who only want to play with friends, while the online single-player mode will allow players to explore the story individually.

Familiar content from the first beta, such as character creation, story trial mode, and Doshaguma hunting, will also be included in this test. Players will be able to transfer their character data from the first beta to this test, but their game progress will not be carried over. Players who participate in the beta will earn a special necklace reward that they can use in the full version. Monster Hunter Wilds will be fully released on February 28, 2025, and will offer players a unique hunting experience with cross-platform support.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Onimusha: Way of the Sword has been announced as an action game scheduled for release in 2026. With this new game, Capcom aims to recreate the historical beauty and real locations of Kyoto. The game’s story takes place during the Edo Period and takes players to a dangerous world filled with dark creatures called Genma. The game’s main character is equipped with an “Oni Gauntlet,” a powerful piece of equipment that allows him to defeat enemies and collect their souls.

This collection brings together classic games such as Capcom vs. SNK Millennium Fight 2000 Pro, Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, Power Stone, Power Stone 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper, Project Justice and Plasma Sword: Night of Bilstein. Especially the Power Stone series and Capcom vs. SNK games create great excitement for gamers looking for nostalgia.

A creative Wudwud named Rove, a Leviathan named Hirabami, a Temnoceran named Nerscylla, and the powerful Gore Magala will face players in this cold and harsh environment.
