Co-op Action RPG Wardens of Avalon Announced
Wardens of Avalon, announced by The Arcade Crew, Dotemu, and Rues Studio, is a new top-down action RPG that has garnered significant attention. Offering a darker interpretation of the King Arthur legend, the game will take players into Avalon, a city plagued by corrupt knights, ruined mansions, and dark forces. The game can be played entirely solo or with up to four players in co-op mode.
Wardens of Avalon Coming to PC in 2027
According to the announcement, Wardens of Avalon will be released on Steam for PC in 2027. The first playtest is planned for later in June. This early test will offer players, especially those interested in trying out the co-op action RPG structure, the opportunity to see the game’s combat system, exploration mechanics, and Camelot reconstruction mechanics.
In the game’s story, the Knights of the Round Table are corrupt, and Camelot is far from its former glory. Players will fight against the dark forces as one of the new Twilight Knights, chosen by Morgan Pendragon. The task won’t be limited to destroying enemies; building a new and powerful fiefdom from the ruins of Camelot will be a fundamental part of the game.
In Wardens of Avalon, resources gathered from adventures will unlock new territories, establish workshops, and expand the fiefdom over time. Blacksmiths, druids, healers, and various craftsmen will join the players’ settlement. This structure will directly link equipment crafting and upgrading to progression. As players strengthen their lands, new quests, new adventures, and greater threats will emerge.
The combat system is based on a classless structure. Players can reshape their character builds according to the situation by changing their oaths. It will be possible to stun enemies with hammers, increase attack power with holy armor, or deal massive damage by risky use of corruption. Dodge, parry, and elemental use will play important roles in combat. Wardens of Avalon stands out as a powerful RPG experience that blends the legend of Camelot with co-op action, base development, and dark fantasy.
