Crimson Desert Patch 1.13.01 Released: Here’s What’s New

Crimson Desert has been continuously improved with regular updates since its release. The Crimson Desert 1.13.01 patch, released by Pearl Abyss, while smaller in scope compared to previous major content packs, focuses on significant technical issues players have encountered. The new version includes performance improvements, quest fixes, and solutions for bugs that prevented some rewards from being claimed.

What Does the Crimson Desert 1.13.01 Patch Change?

One of the most notable fixes in the update targets a crashing issue players encountered while using the bear mount. Some users reported that the game would unexpectedly close after mounting the bear. Additionally, a rendering issue that sometimes caused characters to display incorrectly on consoles and AMD-based systems has also been fixed in the Crimson Desert 1.13.01 patch.

Several fixes were also made to address progression issues in main quests. A bug that prevented Oongka from following Kliff during certain cutscenes was fixed. Additionally, the issue of Hoenmark Ruins not being liberated was resolved. A system bug that prevented players from receiving rewards after completing certain challenges was also fixed in the new version.

The patch also addresses a minor but distracting issue in the farm system. The problem of feed not decreasing even when farm animals were fed near the feeder has been fixed. The issue of the game not correctly recognizing completion times for certain quests and challenges has also been resolved, ensuring players receive their rewards and achievements in full.

Pearl Abyss also implemented performance improvements to reduce frame rate drops in certain environments. While the update doesn’t introduce new quests or playable content, it does contribute to a more stable overall experience. The studio is also working on larger downloadable content and evaluating the technical capabilities of a potential Switch 2 release. However, no definitive release plan has yet been announced for these projects.
