DayZ Badlands’ New Map Revealed
DayZ developer Bohemia Interactive has announced the game’s third major expansion, DayZ Badlands. Scheduled for release in 2026, this content will take players to a vast 267 square kilometer desert landscape, and this new map stands out with both its geographical challenges and region-specific content.
DayZ Badlands Comes with Desert Map and Challenges
The Badlands map is located west of Chernarus and on the border of Takistan. The map is completely surrounded by land and will present players with survival challenges such as finding water and dealing with the heat due to the desert climate. In addition, this expansion includes new content filled with region-specific infected types, clothing, weapons and loot.
Players will be able to explore conflict-torn towns, abandoned oil fields, and old military bases on this map. The Nasdara region, which bears the traces of years of proxy wars, is set in a geography where influences from both the east and west collide. Players will be able to write their own survival stories amidst this complex structure.
The expansion pack allows players to form their own groups and dominate the wastelands. The new map aims to add depth to the DayZ universe with its atmospheric structure, while presenting both the devastation of war and the struggle for survival. DayZ Badlands is available to wishlist on Steam. The game is scheduled to be released in 2026.
