Dead Take Release Date and Cast Announced

Dead Take is a new psychological horror game that will immerse players in a dark story. Produced by Surgent Studios, known for Tales of Kenzera: Zau, the game will be released exclusively on PC, with a release date much closer than anticipated. The game’s theme highlights the pressures and dark side of the gaming world.

Dead Take Stands Out with Its Cast and Theme

Dead Take will be available exclusively on PC on July 31st, exclusively on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Published through Pocketpair’s new publishing venture, the game is particularly notable for its story and atmosphere. Players enter an abandoned mansion in search of a missing friend and encounter traces of a past party.

Surgent Studios’ creative director, Abubakar Salim, commented on the game’s theme, saying, “This game is about actors. Therefore, we needed actors who have truly experienced these pressures in the industry,” emphasizing the importance of the project’s contributions. At its heart, the game explores the price of fame and the sacrifices made to achieve it.

The cast is impressive. Renowned actors like Neil Newbon, Ben Starr, Jane Perry, Alanah Pearce, Laura Bailey, Matthew Mercer, Sam Lake, Travis Willingham, and CDawgVA are involved. Salim stated that these actors strongly connect with the game’s theme, creating a much more realistic atmosphere for the story.

While Dead Take differs significantly from Surgent Studios’ first game, Tales of Kenzera: Zau, it still focuses on emotional depth and a powerful narrative. In this dark story set in a luxurious mansion, players will attempt to find their friends and face an internal reckoning.
