This move suggests the game’s name may be finalized, reigniting the leaks.

According to the information revealed, the “Black Flag Resynced” domain name was registered through a company previously used for Ubisoft projects. The fact that the same structure was recently used for Prince of Persia suggests that this domain name is not a coincidence. Ubisoft’s plan to utilize its back catalog of titles through remake and remaster projects also supports this scenario.
Leaks suggest that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will be more than just a visual refresh. It’s claimed that the game is being developed using the Anvil Pipeline engine, making it suitable for more modern systems. One of the most notable changes is the complete removal of modern-day sequences. This aims for a purely pirate-themed experience, without characters like Rebecca and Shaun.
Conversely, new story content is rumored to be added. Some scenes cut from the original game, particularly those focusing on Mary Read, are planned to be included. The gameplay is said to evolve towards a more RPG-centric structure, closer to recent Assassin’s Creed games. Weapon statistics, a loot system, and a revamped inventory are among these changes.
While the overall scale of the map will be preserved, the goal is to offer more activities and seamless transitions.
