Big Milestone from Dragon’s Dogma 2

Dragon’s Dogma 2 made it’s launch at March 22 and between controversies, the game managed to sold 2.5 million copies since this day. Dragon’s Dogma 2 received a lot of bad comments because of it’s problematic port and microtransactions, Capcom promised that they will fix these issues and reminded once again that the mictrotansaction items can also be received by simply playing game but this explanation was not enough for fans since most of them are not satisfied because a single player game contains microtransactions.

Even these negative thoughts, Dragon’s Dogma 2 managed to sold 2.5 million copies. Company revealed this news at Twitter and thanked fans for their support. With the game only being released on March 22, it has managed to achieve the milestone in a very short space of time. It’s extremely impressive, especially considering the original game was released back in 2012. The first Dragon’s Dogma is generally considered to be one of the best Capcom RPGs on the market, so it does make sense that the fanbase would be willing to stick around for a long time in anticipation of a sequel.

Alongside the second game passing 2.5 million copies sold, it was also confirmed that as a result, total sales of the Dragon’s Dogma series have now exceeded 10 million, another enormous milestone. In the statement confirming the sales figures, Capcom also reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to support the game in the future. As more updates for Dragon’s Dogma 2 are released and the title continues to improve, players should expect sales of the game to keep rising going forward.

Aside from updates, looks like Capcom is also preparing for next steps. Recently, Capcom teased Dragon’s Dogma 2 DLC in a survey, asking players how much they would be willing to spend on extra content in the game. As long as the sales figures continue to rise, it would be massively surprising if Capcom didn’t capitalize with DLC. Capcom didn’t promised for anything yet, but we are hoping that they will reveal soon.
