Dying Light: The Beast Update 1.4 Released
Dying Light: The Beast had already garnered a strong player base since its launch, but Techland has rekindled the game’s appeal with the release of its 1.4 update today, adding both extended progression mechanics and fresh gameplay content.
Dying Light: The Beast 1.4 Update
With the 1.4 update, Techland has finally added the long-awaited New Game+ mode to the game. Now, players can relive Kyle Crane’s new story while retaining all their abilities and equipment. Furthermore, the difficulty level increases with each replay of the New Game+ mode, adding significant replayability to the game.
Another notable aspect of the update is the Legend Levels system. Players who reach level 15 now have a new progression path, in the classic Dying Light style. This provides even those who have already completed the game with a goal and a path to progress, and adds motivation for those looking to strengthen their character over the long term.
Techland announced that the update includes over 400 bug fixes and improvements. These adjustments, which focus specifically on course flow, environmental interaction, and movement mechanics, were developed based on community feedback. As with its previous games, the studio continues to listen to player feedback.
Finally, the update also introduces ray tracing support, enhancing the game’s atmosphere. More realistic lighting, shadows, and reflections make the dark and dangerous environment of Castor Woods even more immersive. Techland also announced the launch of a limited-time event, which offers special rewards and double XP.
