Fatekeeper Early Access Release Date Announced

Fatekeeper stands out as one of the new titles that can somewhat quench the thirst for fantasy RPGs while waiting for The Elder Scrolls 6. Developed by Paraglacial, the game, despite being created by a small team of only 13 people, makes a very ambitious impression with its initial images. Published by THQ Nordic, the game will be available on Steam in early access on June 2nd.

Fatekeeper to Meet Players in Early Access

Fatekeeper aims to offer a handcrafted RPG experience played from a first-person perspective. The game will feature deep character development, an intense loot system, combat mechanics open to different play styles, and a world structure that rewards exploration. While it has a The Elder Scrolls vibe at first glance, the development team wants to offer a more focused and intensely designed adventure.

The game won’t be a fully open world. Instead, players will be encouraged to explore the environment while progressing along a specific narrative line. They can visit different regions such as ancient battlefields, vast underground caves, peaceful forests, and ruined sacred sites forgotten over time. Each area is said to be full of hidden stories, ancient relics, and unexpected encounters.

On the combat side, players will face increasingly difficult enemies. Trailers and shared images show a strong variety of creatures. This indicates that Fatekeeper aims to create a satisfying action cycle, not just focusing on atmosphere and exploration. Shaping the character with different equipment and play styles will be a significant part of the experience.

Paraglacial plans to release the game in early access to quickly gather feedback from players and guide the development process accordingly. Fatekeeper was originally planned for early access last winter, but the release was slightly delayed. Now, the June 2nd release date has been confirmed. Despite its small team, Fatekeeper manages to deliver a strong fantasy RPG feel and could be one of the games to watch closely on Steam.
