Forza Horizon 6 Transforms the Streets of Japan into a Track
Developed by Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios, the game focuses on exploring Japan’s stunning landscapes. From wide roads to narrow city streets, from quiet villages to neon-lit metropolises, the game will be immersed in the Horizon Festival atmosphere. This diverse gameplay will promise players a gaming experience that blends both traditional and modern Japanese culture.
Forza Horizon 6 is scheduled for release in 2026. The game will initially be available on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Game Pass. However, the studio confirmed that a PlayStation 5 version will also be released “later,” confirming that the series will be available on the rival platform for the first time.
Excitement for the announcement peaked at the Tokyo Game Show, where a short teaser trailer was also released. While the trailer didn’t provide much detail, it garnered significant attention with scenes depicting Japan’s stunning landscape and cities. The hint that street racing would be a major focus, in particular, delighted fans of the series.
The development team announced that they will release more details about the game in early 2026. Series art director Don Arceta emphasized that players should follow the official Forza channels, saying, “We will deliver an experience worthy of the expectations.” With the series’ move to Japan, Forza Horizon 6 has already become one of the most anticipated racing games for both new players and longtime fans.
