Free Superball is out for Xbox and PC
Developed by Pathea Games, Superball offers a fast-paced, hero-based sports experience. Colorful characters, dynamic arenas, and fast-paced, action-packed matches invite players into a cyberpunk-style football world. The development team describes this project as “the fruit of years of hard work.”
Superball Redefines the Hero-Centric Sports Experience
Previously announced as Super Buckyball Tournament, the game is based on 3v3 matches. Seventeen heroes, each with unique abilities, compete on the pitch for speed, power, and strategy. Players must balance their teams by assuming the roles of goalkeeper, midfielder, and forward. Each five-minute match is won through quick decision-making and team cohesion.
The game offers a variety of modes, including Slam Dunk, Dodgeball, Icebreaker, and Divine Path. This gives players the opportunity to experiment with new strategies beyond the classic football dynamics. Furthermore, Superball, with its cross-platform support, brings together WeGame users on Xbox, PC, and the Chinese market in the same arena.
Guo Yuheng, one of Pathea Games’ developers, said, “After years of testing, we are delighted to finally bring Superball to players.” Yuheng notes that the game was initially designed as a PvP robot brawler, but the football-themed side mode captured the development team’s imagination.
As part of the launch events, players are offered numerous rewards. Registered players can try 16 heroes for free for 72 hours. At the end of the second day, they will be able to permanently unlock one character. Additionally, the Season 1 Pass “Wild Journey” offers new cosmetics, bonuses, and special items through free and premium rewards.
Pathea Games is an independent studio known for titles like My Time at Portia and My Time at Sandrock. Superball marks the studio’s first major foray into the online competitive arena. Blending both football and action elements, this game will offer players an adrenaline-pumping experience with its short, fast-paced matches.
