Ghost of Yotei Odachi Trailer Released
Ghost of Yotei is building anticipation as one of the biggest PlayStation games poised to inherit the legacy of Ghost of Tsushima. The story of Atsu, who hunts down his family’s murderers, will deeply imbue players with both the desire for revenge and the samurai spirit. A new trailer, released just days before its October release, highlights the character’s odachi weapon.
Ghost of Yotei Odachi Trailer Showcases New Weapon
The trailer features the odachi, a longsword. While not as fast as a katana, the odachi’s long range allows it to close the gap between enemies and deal heavy damage with a single strike. It provides strategic advantage, especially in large groups of enemies, by allowing for area control.
With this trailer, the range of weapons Atsu can wield is gradually expanding. Previously, videos showcasing the kusarigama, yari, and firearms were released. With Odachi, only dual swords, classic katana, and bow trailers remain. These regular releases are keeping anticipation high in the lead-up to the game’s release.
Ghost of Yotei, positioned as one of PlayStation’s most important releases of 2025, will also be extensively unveiled at the Tokyo Game Show. Players will have the opportunity to experience the game’s new gameplay details at this event, further fueling the community’s excitement ahead of its release.
