Ghost Town, A Horror Game From The Creators of The Room, is Coming to PC

Fireproof Games, known for its The Room series, returns with Ghost Town, this time transporting players to the dark atmosphere of the 1980s. This critically acclaimed VR horror-adventure game, released for Meta Quest, will soon be available on the Steam VR platform. The game’s story and gameplay are already attracting attention.

When is Ghost Town Coming to Steam VR?

Ghost Town will be available for Steam VR users on July 15th. Previously released exclusively for the Meta Quest platform, the game quickly garnered positive reviews. The game offers a supernatural detective story set in 1983 London. As the main character, Edith Penrose, searches for her missing brother, she travels through time and encounters complex puzzles to solve in various locations.

The physics-based interactions familiar from The Room series provide a satisfying experience in Ghost Town. Puzzles, particularly those involving direct interaction with the environment, quickly immerse players in the game’s atmosphere. Certain scenes in the story, with their cinematic narrative and immersive structure, are among the most striking moments of the year.

The game’s voice cast has also received praise. The small but effective cast of characters are brought to life with impressive performances. Certain sections, such as the lighthouse scene in Scotland, are particularly memorable for both the narrative and the atmosphere.

While Fireproof Games hasn’t yet announced a specific release date for the PlayStation VR 2 version, it’s anticipated that the Steam VR version of Ghost Town will feature optimizations for powerful systems. For now, players can add the game to their wishlists and try the demo on Steam.
