God of War Series Starts From Scratch
The TV series that God of War fans are eagerly waiting for is facing a major change in the production process. The God of War TV series has decided to start from scratch due to the executive producers leaving the project. According to Variety, showrunner Rafe Judkins and executive producers Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus have left the project. These departures led to the shelving of the initial scripts for the series and the project moving in a different direction.
God of War TV Series Reboot
Variety reports that some scripts for a God of War TV series have been completed, but Amazon and Sony want to take the project in a different direction. This major shift in the production process means that the series’ release date will probably be delayed for another three years. This pause in production raises many questions about the future of the series.
While there is no word yet on who will play the character of Kratos, Santa Monica Studio’s creative director Cory Barlog, Playstation Productions’ Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan remain as executive producers on the project. The fact that these key figures remain committed to the project keeps fans’ hopes alive.
In recent years, video game adaptations such as The Last of Us and Fallout have been successful by reaching large audiences. The God of War TV series will try to follow in the footsteps of these popular adaptations. However, it remains to be seen how the changes in the production team will affect the quality and success of the series.
