Injustice 3 Might Not be the Injustice 3 We Know
Injustice 3 is one of the games that DC fans have been waiting for for a long time. Recently, the game’s name appeared in the resume of a developer working at Warner Bros. Games, strengthening the possibility of a sequel. However, new rumors suggest that the project may not be called Injustice 3 and could instead take the form of a different DC fighting game.
A Different DC Fighting Game May Be Coming Instead of Injustice 3
MultiverSusie, known for its leaks, made a new post implying that “it may be time to continue with the Injustice brand.” This statement led to speculation that NetherRealm is indeed working on a DC fighting game, but it might be presented under a different name than the classic Injustice line. Of course, this information is not yet official, so caution is advised.
This possibility isn’t entirely illogical. Injustice 2’s story ended with two different conclusions: either Superman was imprisoned in the Phantom Zone or he was led to a darker regime by Brainiac technology. A third game relying again on the idea of ”resistance against the evil Superman” might feel repetitive to some players. Therefore, NetherRealm might want to approach the DC universe with a broader and fresher fighting game format.
One suggestion circulating among fans is a DC K.O.-style tournament structure. The idea of a survival struggle orchestrated by gods in the comics seems quite fitting for NetherRealm’s fighting game structure. Including less frequently used characters like King Shark, Lobo, Zatanna, Vixen, and Plastic Man alongside classic names like Batman, Superman, and Joker could add significant freshness to the roster.
However, the most concrete information we have is still the name Injustice 3 appearing in a developer’s resume. This name might be temporary, the project might have changed its name, or despite all these rumors, Injustice 3 might actually be coming directly. For now, the only thing certain is that the possibility of a new fighting game on the DC side from NetherRealm is being seriously discussed again.
