The Long Wait of Resident Evil 9
Rumors are going around about Resident Evil 9. Some rumors have claimed that the Resident Evil 9 protagonists will be Leon and Jill, whereas others have pushed back against those claims. Some Resident Evil 9 rumors have said that the new game will be fully open world, while others are expecting something more in line with what Resident Evil 7 and Village brought to the table.

According to the leak, Resident Evil 9 will not be made in the style of RE7/Village or the remake games, but rather it is “trying new things” and is “very ambitious.” Luckily, the wait to finally see Resident Evil 9 is apparently coming to an end, as it’s believed that Capcom will finally reveal it at some point later this year.
While many long established gaming franchises like to play it safe, the Resident Evil series has never been afraid of reinventing itself. The games stuck to a tried and true formula for years before Resident Evil 4 took things in bold new directions with its over the shoulder camera and action oriented gameplay. The franchise reinvented itself again with Resident Evil 7, which dramatically increased the scares and switched to a first person view.
Whatever the case may be, Resident Evil 9 supposedly being revealed this year will be a big relief. The reveal should put a lot of the rumors and speculation to rest, revealing what exactly Capcom has planned for its franchise.
