LEGO Death Star Set Launched with a Price of $1,000
LEGO has officially announced the massive Death Star set, long awaited by Star Wars fans. Following months of rumors, the reveal reveals one of the most ambitious sets for collectors, both in terms of size and price. This massive 9,021-piece structure is the fifth largest set in LEGO history.
LEGO Death Star Set: Like a Star Wars Scene
The Death Star set consists of 9,021 pieces and is priced at $999.99. It is among the largest LEGO sets ever released. In terms of scale, it surpasses only the World Map, Titanic, Eiffel Tower, and Colosseum sets. This adds another massive collectible to LEGO’s ranks.
A striking detail in the set’s design is that the sphere isn’t completely enclosed. The front is rounded, creating a Death Star-like appearance, while the back is left flat. This choice creates areas inside where you can recreate scenes from the Star Wars films, combining both visual brilliance and playability.
The images already reveal some of the scenes included in the set. Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader’s lightsaber duel, Vader’s meeting with Imperial officials, and the iconic trash compactor scene can all be recreated within this massive set. Even the compactor’s movable walls have been incorporated, allowing for the ability to recreate the scene in minute detail.
The LEGO Death Star set comes with a full 37 minifigures. While not all characters have been revealed yet, the scenes showcased confirm that Luke, Vader, and other key figures will be included. It’s also been announced that a small TIE Fighter will be a special gift for purchasers. However, this offer is expected to be limited-time.
LEGO’s massive Death Star set will go on sale on October 1, 2025. This highly collectible set is likely to attract LEGO and Star Wars enthusiasts not only for its price but also for its detailed design. Furthermore, LEGO is rumored to be introducing new, expensive Pokémon-themed sets in the near future.
