LEGO Harry Potter Returns in Remaster
WB Games is once again remastering the popular LEGO Harry Potter games. Originally released in 2010, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 brought the first four installments of the Harry Potter film series to the LEGO world. This was followed by LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 followed in 2011, and 2016 saw the release of the LEGO Harry Potter Collection, which combined both games into one. Now, eight years later, WB Games is remastering the collection for modern hardware.
Return to Hogwarts: The Next Generation LEGO Harry Potter
Announced at the Back to Hogwarts event, this new remaster brings the LEGO Harry Potter Collection to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC (Steam). Launching on October 8th, this version will come with improvements such as 60 FPS, native 4K resolution, haptic feedback and high-resolution shadow maps. However, this revamped version will only be available digitally for now and there will be no physical launch.
Harry Potter fans can also look forward to the release of a new video game tied to the series. On Tuesday, September 3rd, WB Games will launch Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, a new multiplayer game. This game focuses entirely on Quidditch and will be available for both current and last-gen platforms. PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to play this game for free for as long as they subscribe to the service.
