In recent months, the developers of Lollipop Chainsaw have been actively sharing detailed updates about the upcoming remaster. One of the significant changes includes the option for players to choose from four different voice actors for the protagonist, Juliet Starling. Juliet will now be voiced by Yukari Tamura in addition to Tara Strong, the original English voice actor, and Japanese voice actresses Eri Kitamura and Yoko Hikasa.
Additionally, Yoshimi Yasuda has confirmed that the remaster will incorporate a variety of quality-of-life improvements and enhancements aimed at refining the gameplay experience. Alongside these updates, it has been confirmed that the remaster will be released across several platforms, including Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
On June 14, the release date for the Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP was initially set for September 25, 2024. This information was shared through a game trailer and an official social media announcement made by Yoshimi Yasuda. Recently, Yoshimi Yasuda provided an update via his Twitter account, revealing a change in the release schedule. The updated release date for the digital version of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP in North, Central, and South America, as well as Europe, is now September 12, 2024. Additionally, the retail price has been confirmed as $44.99.
This adjustment means players in these regions will have the opportunity to access the game two weeks earlier than initially planned, a change likely to be welcomed by fans eager to experience it sooner. While it remains to be seen how the remastered version will be received, fans of the cult classic Lollipop Chainsaw can pre-order a remastered collector’s edition for $150. This Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Cheerleader Edition includes a 10-inch Juliet Starling statue, a Nick head keychain, an artbook, and other exclusive items, all packaged in a locker-themed box.
Another interesting revelation is that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will feature a total of 30 different costumes for Juliet Starling. These include both the original designs from the game and new costumes created specifically for the remaster. Players will have access to a remarkable 480 different customization options, allowing for a wide array of looks and styles for Juliet.
