Marvel Confirms VisionQuest Suspicion
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is preparing for a superhero-filled era in 2026. However, of all the projects, VisionQuest has garnered the most curiosity. Marvel executives, appearing at New York Comic Con 2025, announced that the series will be the finale of the WandaVision trilogy, officially confirming years of rumors.
VisionQuest to Conclude the WandaVision Trilogy
Marvel is preparing to close an era with its new series focusing on Vision. VisionQuest will conclude the story that began with 2021’s WandaVision. In the series, the White Vision, known to us as the white version, will attempt to rediscover his past memories and identity. Actor Paul Bettany highlighted the emotional aspect of the series, stating that the character is “struggling to connect with his old memories” this time around.
According to details revealed at the event, VisionQuest will bring closure not only to Vision but also to Wanda Maximoff’s family. Marvel announced that Ruaridh Mollica will portray Tommy Maximoff (Speed) in the series. This marks the return of all the Maximoff brothers to the MCU after Wiccan. Furthermore, James Spader will return as Ultron after years away, and this return will be one of the most significant developments for the series.
Another detail that delighted Marvel fans was the appearance of artificial intelligence characters in human form. J.A.R.V.I.S., F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., and even Tony Stark’s robot assistant D.U.M.-E and U will appear in the series as human-like figures. The scene where these characters meet in a “white mansion” set in Vision’s mind was described by Variety as “Vision’s own Hex world.”
In the first trailer, a scene in which Vision remembers his family and Ultron tells him, “You are the ghost of your past,” generated significant buzz. The trailer also concluded with a brief sequence featuring Speed’s first appearance on security camera footage.
Marvel confirmed that the series will premiere on Disney+ in 2026. VisionQuest is expected to be an emotional farewell to both Vision and the WandaVision universe. Fans are eagerly awaiting whether the series will also reveal the fate of Scarlet Witch.
