Marvel Rivals in Closed Beta
Marvel Rivals, the superhero team-based PVP shooter from Marvel and NetEase Games, was announced last March and is currently in beta on PC. During the PlayStation State of Play livestream, fans learned that the game is also coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, with a closed beta coming soon to the PlayStation platform.
Marvel Rivals Coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X
Marvel Rivals is a free-to-play game featuring a large cast of Marvel heroes and villains. The 18 characters confirmed so far include Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Groot, Hulk, Iron Man, Loki, Luna Snow, Magik, Magneto, Mantis, Namor, Peni Parker, Rocket Raccoon, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, Storm, Star-Lord and The Punisher. The game’s story revolves around converging timelines and multiple Doctor Dooms, overseen by Galacta, daughter of Galactus. However, the main goal of Marvel Rivals is to see these popular and powerful characters team up and use their various abilities in battle.
The game aims to combine interest in the Marvel universe and demand for the PVP shooter genre to offer players a unique and immersive experience.
