Mortal Kombat 1 Leak Revealed
This new plot line isn’t the only content being added to Mortal Kombat 1 in the upcoming Khaos Reigns expansion, as NetherRealm has also revealed that gender-flipped versions of Sektor and Cyrax are also being introduced alongside a revamped Noob Saibot as additional playable characters. Later on, a trio of new Mortal Kombat 1 guest fighters will join the mayhem in the form of the Ghostface killer of Scream fame, the T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and the titular Conan the Barbarian. The fan favorite Animality finishers are also making a comeback, allowing players to transform their fighters into beasts to brutally kill their enemies.
It looks like a pair of highly requested features will be introduced to Mortal Kombat 1 around the same time as Khaos Reigns, according to a reliable Mortal Kombat 1 leak. In a recent comment made on the Mortal Kombat Leaks subreddit, the user responded to a request for an Online Practice mode and a previously hinted-at “Warrior Shrine” by claiming that both will be added to Mortal Kombat 1 around the time that Khaos Reigns launches later this month. These modes will reportedly be featured in a free update patch, so fans won’t have to buy the DLC to enjoy them.
Online Practice mode was previously included in Mortal Kombat X and Mortal Kombat 11, allowing players to try out characters in sparring bouts before joining actual matches. It was notably absent from Mortal Kombat 1 at launch, prompting many to ask for it to be implemented in a later update. As for “Warrior Shrine,” there is no official word on what exactly the addition will entail, but there has been much speculation about it since its name was first discovered in Mortal Kombat 1’s metadata a few months ago.
The answer may be coming in a future Mortal Kombat 1 update if the user’s latest claims are to be believed. In the past, the leaker has made several correct predictions about Mortal Kombat 1, though nothing official has been verified at the time of writing. There is already a lot to look forward to with the upcoming wave of Mortal Kombat 1 DLC, with the long-awaited Online Practice mode and the mysterious “Warrior Shrine” potentially set to appear when Khaos Reigns launches on September 24.
