Mysterious New Project From Kingdom Come 2 Team
While Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is on the agenda with its first expansion pack that has not yet been released, a remarkable new statement came from developer studio Warhorse Studios. The company announced that it has started to expand its teams to work on a new role-playing game in addition to its current projects. This project, the details of which are currently being kept secret, seems to be based on the experiences the studio has gained so far. The goal of producing games that stand out with their deep storytelling and emotional structure will also be the main focus of Warhorse’s new game.
A New RPG Project Begins While Kingdom Come 2 Continues
In an interview with Japanese media outlet GameSpark, Warhorse Studios detailed both the studio’s current project and plans for the future. Public relations manager Tobias Stolz-Zwiling stated that they were a team of 100 people during the development of Kingdom Come: Deliverance, but that number has now increased to 250. The team is currently actively working on downloadable content for Deliverance 2. The first story expansion pack, “Brushes with Death”, is expected to be released very soon.
According to Stolz-Zwiling, three more major story expansions are planned by the end of the year. However, the real surprise is that Warhorse Studios is preparing to work on a new RPG game. The company aims to increase the number of teams to 300 and plans to develop this new project simultaneously with Kingdom Come 2. This new game, which is still in the design phase, will maintain the studio’s cinematic and story-focused approach.
Concept designer Hisami Kawatani and story writer Vladimir Marecek also made statements supporting this vision. The new game is aimed to offer a universe that immerses the player, just like the Kingdom Come series. Warhorse aims to offer an experience that is built on the same foundations as its past success but focuses on different stories.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 received positive reviews from critics and attracted attention with its sales success. It is no surprise that Warhorse aims to achieve the same quality in its new project in order to continue this success. Players have high expectations; and the studio has quietly but determinedly started to build its new world to meet these expectations.
