Resident Evil Requiem DLC May Offer a Longer Story
According to information shared from within the industry, Capcom plans to release the Resident Evil Requiem story DLC after the Code Veronica remake. It’s claimed that the company is currently dedicating a large portion of its development resources to this remake and that the team is working intensively to complete the project. Neither release schedule has been officially confirmed by Capcom.
The remake of Code Veronica is targeted for completion in the first quarter of 2027, with the process potentially extending into the second quarter if needed. According to this schedule, the Resident Evil Requiem expansion is expected to be delayed. It’s suggested that Capcom decided to expand the scope of the DLC after reviewing player feedback following the main game’s release.
Under this new approach, story DLCs are planned to be smaller but experimental side adventures. This way, instead of creating standalone spin-offs like Revelations or Chronicles, the company can support existing main titles with longer story content.
