Xbox Prepares to Compete with DualSense

Sony’s DualSense controller device, introduced with the PlayStation 5, won the appreciation of gamers with its advanced haptic feedback features. Microsoft aims to increase competition in this area with the new haptic motors it will use in the Xbox controller.

According to the patent descriptions, these motors will be integrated into the mechanical structure of the device, providing both smaller and stronger feedback. In addition, thanks to the dynamic adjustment of the motors, players will be offered a more personalized experience.

The new haptic motor technology is expected to be included in next-generation devices rather than current Xbox controllers. According to experts, the controller codenamed “Sebile” that Microsoft is working on may be the first model to include this technology. However, it is estimated that this device will be released with the next-generation Xbox consoles.
