Death Stranding 2 Details
Death Stranding 2, the sequel to Kojima’s groundbreaking game, is set to launch in 2025 for PlayStation 5. Death Stranding 2 brings back familiar faces like Norman Reedus and Lea Seydoux, while introducing new stars such as Elle Fanning and Shioli Kutsuna. This follow-up promises to dive even deeper into the strange world of alternate realities and mysterious entities.
During a Special Stage Presentation at the Tokyo Game Show 2024, Hideo Kojima shared more information about Death Stranding 2. The game will feature photo mode, where characters can interact with their surroundings and strike fun, creative poses using things they find nearby. Players can snap pictures that are saved as Polaroids, which might play an important role in the game’s story. Kojima teased that these photos could be more than just souvenirs, though the exact details are still unknown.
In another reveal, Death Stranding 2 will feature a musical performance by Japanese pop star Daichi Miura. His character, along with a group called the “Dollmen,” will perform a dance to the song “Horizon Dreamer,” which players can trigger by doing certain actions in the Private Room. The song will also be released on music platforms shortly after the event, adding a musical twist to Death Stranding 2’s already confirmed features.
Hideo Kojima also hinted something about release date yet, but not actually revealed it. That’s because there are still some things to do about the game. Next events, such as The Game Awards 2024 might reveal Death Stranding 2’s release date. The game set to be released at sometime in 2025.
