New Nier Game Might be in Development
Square Enix executive and NieR series producer Yosuke Saito revealed in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu that he is working on a new project with NieR series director Yoko Taro and series composer Keiichi Okabe. Although there is no explanation about whether the project is a new Nier game or not, it inevitably makes us think about it.
Yosuke Saito is Working on a New Project with Yoko Taro and Keiichi Okabe: It Could Be a New Nier Game
Saito brought up the project in a conversation with former Capcom producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, who now runs GPTRACK50 under NetEase Games. “I’ve been talking about wanting to do something with Yoko and Okabe for a while now. I’ll have something more organized to say in the not too distant future, so please stay tuned. It may be NieR, it may not be NieR. That’s all I can say for now.”
With Yoko Taro’s unique storytelling and Keiichi Okabe’s unforgettable soundtrack, hopes are high that this team’s new project will make a big impact. As Saito stated, the project could be a NieR game or a completely new IP (intellectual property).
Work on the Second Project
Saito stated that not only is he working on the project with Yoko Taro and Keiichi Okabe, but he is also working on another project. This is extra exciting for fans who have been waiting for more information about Square Enix’s future plans.
This new project, which brings together Yosuke Saito, Yoko Taro and Keiichi Okabe, is creating great anticipation in the gaming world. Square Enix is expected to share more information about this project in the coming months.
