New Punisher Set Images Leaked
It seems the time for comebacks in the Marvel universe is near. New leaked images from The Punisher Special Presentation for Disney+ show Frank Castle battling motorcycle attackers, alongside a familiar face from the Netflix series. These leaks hint not only at action scenes but also at a darker narrative where the character reconciles with his past.
Old Scraps Reopened on the Punisher Set
The new images show Frank Castle battling motorcycle gangs in the street. But the most striking detail is the return of Jason R. Moore’s Curtis Hoyle. Reminiscent of the Netflix original series, this character was one of Frank’s oldest friends. Although their friendship was once strained, the reunion between the two suggests the emotional impact of this special.
The Punisher Special Presentation is expected to take place after the events of Daredevil: Born Again. However, some fans, noting Frank’s beard, believe it could be a story that bridges the gap between the Netflix series and Daredevil. This could indicate that Marvel is taking a more holistic approach to character histories.
The special is written by Jon Bernthal himself. Reinaldo Marcus Green is directing. It appears Ma Gnucci, known from the comics, will be the antagonist. Frank’s battle with Mayor Fisk’s Anti-Vigilante unit suggests this story could be carried over into Daredevil: Born Again season 2 at a later date.
Jon Bernthal made it clear in a statement that this story will not be “light.” The actor, stating that he has great respect for the character of Frank Castle, said they are doing their best to deliver the dark and realistic narrative fans deserve. The Punisher Special Presentation will premiere on Disney+ in 2026, and Frank’s story will likely continue in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
