New RPG from Former Bethesda Team: Hawthorn

Although Hawthorn has just started making a name for itself, it has a very strong team behind it. Prepared by Near Studios, which consists of former Bethesda, BioWare and Naughty Dog developers, this game managed to attract the attention of players even before it was released. The game, which brings together many different systems such as “storytelling, crafting and seasonal cycles”, continues to gather support via Kickstarter.

What We Know About Hawthorn Game

Hawthorn is designed as an open-world RPG that offers players the opportunity to control various forest animals from mice to owls. Players will try to rebuild a cute town called Windermere, either alone or with their friends. The game includes farming, resource gathering and various craft production systems.

The Windermere Valley, where the game takes place, is an abandoned area that has been affected by nature. However, for players, this place represents hope for a new life. Elements such as community building, participating in seasonal events, and fighting nature form the basis of Hawthorn. Each season brings new challenges and opportunities.

The game draws attention with its atmospheric narrative and different perspective. Random events, changing weather conditions, and the seasonal cycle aim to offer players a new experience in each session. In this respect, it will offer both dynamic and peaceful gameplay.

The involvement of Doug Cockle in the project makes Hawthorn even more interesting. If the Kickstarter campaign exceeds $2 million, the game will have a full-voice main story. Cockle will voice a character in Windermere, and there will be other familiar voices alongside him.
