New Thriller Game BLACKWOOD Announced

Zero Hour developer AttritoM7 Productions has officially announced its new project, BLACKWOOD. Set in 2012 New York, this third-person action thriller stands out with both its cinematic narrative and intense combat mechanics. Players will witness the double life of Anton Blackwood, who runs a quiet DVD store by day and becomes a deadly assassin by night.

BLACKWOOD Will Tell the Story of a Two-Faced Life

BLACKWOOD embraces a narrative-driven structure that transcends classic action games. Players will focus on Anton’s ordinary life during the day and become an assassin hunting down targets in the dark streets of the city at night. This dual existence is a key element that deepens the game’s dramatic atmosphere.

AttritoM7 Productions describes BLACKWOOD’s story as “a world shaped by choices, where style and brutality intertwine.” Designed to feel like a cinematic experience, each battle will see players engage in scenes filled with environmental kills, melee takedowns, and fast-paced chases.

Anton’s life isn’t just about battles. Players will manage his small Brooklyn DVD store, create decorations, and explore the character’s humanity through everyday interactions. This simple life gives way to a violent personality at night, creating a stark contrast in BLACKWOOD’s narrative.

The game aims for a Marvel-style cinematic storytelling. Set against the backdrop of the city’s neon lights, each character and every detail has a distinct story. BLACKWOOD aims to provide an intensely atmospheric experience that makes players feel the consequences of their choices.

BLACKWOOD will launch on PC via Steam in the third quarter of 2026. The developer studio announced that it will release gameplay footage and new trailers in the coming months. The game has already generated considerable curiosity among action and thriller enthusiasts.
