Nintendo Switch 2 Is On Fire
Despite many innovations, the new generation Switch has encountered an unexpected problem for users. It is reported that the Nintendo Switch 2 gets seriously hot in dock mode and some devices put themselves into sleep mode. According to messages shared on Reddit and various technology platforms, this situation has become more common, especially in the summer heat.
Nintendo Switch 2 Overheating Problem Worries Users
According to sources such as NotebookCheck and TechRadar, it is stated that the console overheats while the Switch 2 is transferring 4K images via the dock. The device’s self-protection and sleep mode or physical overheating negatively affects the user experience. The biggest suspicion is about the dock design. Although the dock has a fan inside, this fan only cools the dock and does not directly affect the console.
It is also observed that the heating increases even more when the Ethernet cable is plugged into the system. This situation can occur even in sleep mode. For this reason, some users are trying to reduce this problem by switching to wireless connection.
For those who use the Switch 2 mostly in dock mode, the only solution for now seems to be to increase the environmental cooling. Those who use it as a handheld console can avoid this problem by charging the device outside the dock. It is hoped that the problem can be solved with a software update. However, some users think that this is due to the design and that a larger update is needed. No official statement has been made by Nintendo yet.
