No Need for a New GTA 6 Trailer
The first trailer of GTA 6 was talked about for a long time, and the chaotic and lively atmosphere in the province of Leonida had locked players in front of their screens. However, the fact that no new trailer has been released from Rockstar since then has increased the expectation. Although this silence has made some impatient, according to former Rockstar technical director Obbe Vermeij, there is actually no need for a second trailer.
GTA 6 Is Already Creating Enough Hype
Obbe Vermeij, who served as technical director at Rockstar North between 1995 and 2009, played an active role in many iconic productions of the Grand Theft Auto series. Vermeij, who left the company after GTA 4, still continues to openly express his ideas about the series. In his last post on the X platform, he stated that there was no need for GTA 6 to be introduced with a second trailer.
According to Vermeij, the game’s current popularity is strong enough to not require new promotions. The former developer, who said, “If it were up to me, I wouldn’t release another trailer,” argued that preserving the surprise effect would turn the release of GTA 6 into a much bigger event. According to him, silence may be Rockstar’s most powerful marketing weapon.
The state of Leonida shown in the first trailer attracted attention with Florida-inspired details. While many questions remain unanswered, such as who the main character Lucia is and how many crimes are committed in the trailer, players are impatient for new images. However, those who think like Vermeij think that this uncertainty increases the excitement.
Rockstar Games has not given an official second trailer date for GTA 6. However, considering the impact of the first trailer, it is obvious that the company is carrying out its promotion strategy with great care. For now, the only thing to do is wait patiently.
