No Rest for the Wicked is Shaking Lists on Steam

Despite being in early access, No Rest for the Wicked continues to grow steadily, and its newly released co-op update is causing a sensation on Steam. Developed by Moon Studios, the game has surpassed giants like Arc Raiders, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Forza Horizon 6 to reach the top spot on Steam’s best-selling charts.

No Rest for the Wicked Takes the Top Spot on Steam Charts

The co-op update, released under the name “No Rest for the Wicked Together,” launched on January 22nd with a free weekend and a 40% discount campaign. This move attracted both new players and re-energized the existing community. The overwhelming interest quickly propelled the game to number one on Steam’s sales charts.

The past year has been quite turbulent for the game. Moon Studios regaining its independence, followed by a major update that received significant criticism, marked a challenging period for the studio. Studio CEO Thomas Mahler even described that time as “one of the worst days of my career.” Despite this, the team continued development without losing faith in the project.

Today, the situation has completely changed. The game’s Steam user rating has risen to 86%, reaching the “Very Positive” category. While Mahler’s previously stated goal of “going from 58 to 90” hasn’t been fully achieved yet, the new co-op update is clearly a critical hurdle on the way.

According to Mahler’s data, No Rest for the Wicked is currently selling approximately 50,000 copies per day. Powered by this interest, the development team has accelerated work on version 1.0 of the game. If this momentum is maintained, No Rest for the Wicked could not only achieve temporary success on Steam but also have a much bigger launch upon exiting early access.
