NVIDIA Graphics Card Prices May Rise Again Soon
NVIDIA graphics cards may become more expensive again after a series of price increases in recent months. A new report suggests that this time, not only high-end models but the entire product range of the company may be affected by the price hike. It’s important to note that the reported percentages are not final, as NVIDIA has not yet made an official statement.
NVIDIA Graphics Cards May See Up to a 30% Price Increase
According to industry sources from Taiwan, NVIDIA is preparing to increase graphics card prices by 20% to 30%. It is claimed that the company has informed graphics card manufacturers about the planned adjustment. If this happens, it will be the third major price increase applied by NVIDIA to its consumer products in 2026. Previous price increases were felt more in high-end models.
The new pricing adjustment is said to potentially cover all GeForce models, from entry-level to flagship. The increase is primarily driven by the rising costs of both the newer GDDR7 and previous-generation GDDR6 memory. Therefore, not only the most up-to-date graphics cards but also older architecture options expected to be more affordable may face price pressure.
The report notes that despite its launch price of $1,999, the RTX 5090 is listed at some retailers for between $3,999 and $4,500. The lower-segment RTX 5060 Ti has also seen its price increase from $379 to $569. These prices are not all official labels set directly by NVIDIA; stock availability, retailer margins, and regional demand also influence the figures.
The increase in memory costs is attributed to high demand from AI systems and data centers. The rapid purchase of existing components by large companies is reducing production capacity allocated to consumer hardware. NVIDIA has not yet confirmed a new price increase. However, if the report proves true, NVIDIA graphics cards could become much more difficult to access, especially for budget-conscious gamers.
