NVIDIA RTX 5090 Comes With GDDR7 and 512-Bit Memory
Important technical details have emerged about NVIDIA’s new generation graphics card, the GeForce RTX 5090. Developed with the “Blackwell” architecture and equipped with the GB202-300-A1 GPU, the RTX 5090 aims to offer superior performance for gaming and professional work. The card draws attention with its 32 GB GDDR7 memory and 512-bit memory interface. With memory speeds reaching 28 Gbps, the RTX 5090 is expected to offer an impressive bandwidth of 1,792 GB/s. These features make the card a product that raises the bar in graphics technology.
NVIDIA RTX 5090 Technical Specifications
The RTX 5090 is built on a new GPU codenamed “GB202”. This chip is described as the largest gaming GPU NVIDIA has ever produced. The GPU is supported by 32 GB GDDR7 memory, while providing high-speed data transfer thanks to the 512-bit memory interface. The new memory technology aims to provide a smoother experience in games and graphics-intensive processes.
The card’s energy consumption is also noteworthy. Using a single 16-pin 12V-2×6 power connection, the RTX 5090’s TGP (Total Graphics Power) value is expected to be between 500-550 W. Due to this power requirement, it is stated that users will need high-capacity power supplies.
The RTX 5090 provides efficiency in power distribution with its 24-phase VRM design. Although the card’s design is similar to the previous generation RTX 4090, it draws attention with a larger GPU package and a higher pin count. This design is combined with a “flow through” PCB structure that aims to provide better cooling performance.
With its new generation ray tracing and artificial intelligence features, the RTX 5090 will be an ideal option for gaming and content production at 4K and 8K resolutions. Its powerful technical features can make this card unrivaled in the flagship segment.
Although the official release date of the NVIDIA RTX 5090 has not been announced, it is expected to be released in late 2024 or early 2025. The card will offer a performance-oriented solution for both gamers and professionals, while also intensifying the competition with AMD.
