Metacore, the developer of the popular mobile title Merge Mansion, today released a short film starring The Last of Us and The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal and directed by Martin Werner. The new short continues the mysterious nature of the popular mobile title by giving fans a sneak peek into what could be coming in Merge Mansion’s milestone update set for March 28.
Pedro Pascal Stars in New Merge Mansion Short Film That Gives Fans a Sneak Peek
Cut into three unique versions, the short gives fans a chance to join the investigation of Detective Tim Rockford, who is portrayed by Pascal, as he investigates the family secrets of the Boulton family. Throughout the short, Rockford interrogates Grandma, interviews neighbors and enters the famed Boulton family mansion as he searches for clues in an attempt to uncover what Grandma is hiding.
“Merge Mansion has created a fascinating story centered around family drama filled with mystery and secrets that has captivated fans all around the world through their entertaining and unpredictable video campaigns,” said Pedro Pascal. “Making this short film for Merge Mansion was truly a unique experience and I had so much fun working with Martin to fulfill his vision and bring the lore of Merge Mansion to life. >From the first day, it was clear how much love and passion the group at Metacore has for its characters and this game and I’m happy that I got to be a part of their next big moment.”

Getting the opportunity to translate the Merge Mansion game into a mockumentary short gave the crew and I the opportunity to flex all our filmic muscles,” said director Martin Werner. “Being able to structure everything around a world class actor like Pedro Pascal took the concept to a higher level and although Pedro is playing a fictional character here, the legacy of his previous work felt like it combined perfectly with our take on the Merge Mansion universe. To celebrate the launch of the highly-anticipated update planned for March 28, Metacore will transform the famed Paramour Estate into the Boulton family mansion for an immersive experience that is part live-action theater, part escape room and part lore museum. The Metacore team will be joined by Pedro Pascal and other special guests as they join in for this momentous occasion.
