People of Note Announced

The moments where music and gaming intersect have always been captivating. People of Note aims to offer players a unique experience by combining both role-playing elements and rhythm-based action. Developed in partnership with Annapurna Interactive and Iridium Studios, the game has already generated interest with its first trailer. People of Note stands out not only for its story but also for its turn-based combat system, which blends music with it.

People of Note Invites Players to the Stage

People of Note centers on a pop singer named Cadence. After being eliminated from the Noteworthy Song Contest, Cadence decides to pursue her own musical journey. However, this journey isn’t just about one singer’s struggle for stardom; it’s also a battle against forces that threaten the world’s musical balance. Players will join Cadence’s team of musicians from different genres to share in her journey.

Unlike traditional turn-based RPGs, the game transforms battles into musical performances. Each encounter requires keeping pace with the rhythm, attacking at the right time, and combining the team’s different musical genres to create powerful combos. The music changes as the fight progresses, directly affecting the battle conditions. This forces players to utilize not only strategy but also their sense of rhythm.

One of People of Note’s most striking features is its fully cinematic musical scenes. The story, unfolding with songs from various genres, offers players a concert atmosphere while also allowing them to explore the characters’ inner worlds. Each musician reflects their own unique style, while strengthening team spirit and performing “musical mashup” attacks become core mechanics of the game.

The game world is set in a vast universe called Note. From Rock City to EDM City, players will encounter both exploration and puzzles in regions reflecting different musical cultures. Furthermore, People of Note has a player-friendly structure; those who prefer environmental puzzles or the turn-based system can disable these features, allowing each player to tailor their experience to their own playstyle.

People of Note, due out for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2026, promises not only an RPG but also a stage experience for music enthusiasts. This combination, rarely attempted before in the gaming world, could usher in a new trend if it succeeds.
