PlayStation Plus Subscriptions are Getting More Expensive
A new price increase period is beginning for PlayStation Plus subscriptions. Sony has announced price changes to its subscription plans worldwide. The new prices will take effect on May 20, 2026. Naturally, the most anticipated issue is Turkey, because Sony’s announcement includes a separate exception for Turkey and India.
PlayStation Plus Turkey Prices Remain Uncertain
According to Sony’s statement, existing subscribers in many countries will not be immediately affected by the new prices unless they cancel or change their subscriptions. However, Turkey and India are excluded from this exception. This means that existing subscribers in Turkey may also face price increases. In short, the comfort of “my subscription is already active, it won’t affect me” may not be so valid this time.
Under the new global pricing, a 1-month PlayStation Plus subscription is now $10.99, €9.99, or £7.99. Three-month packages are updated to $27.99, €27.99, or £21.99. Sony cites market conditions as the reason for this increase. However, new prices specific to Turkey have not yet been shared.
Since Sony’s new pricing for Turkey is not yet finalized, it would not be accurate to give definitive figures. However, as May 20th approaches, it’s a good idea for players to check their subscription status. This could be especially important for those considering purchasing long-term packages.
