Music is an incredibly essential component of video games, and the auditory experiences found in some of PlayStation’s most popular first-party games are held in very high regard. Most recently, God of War Ragnarok won the Best Score and Music Game Award in 2022, and The Last of Us Part 2 was nominated for the same back in 2020. Millions of gamers clearly appreciate the expertly crafted soundtracks in these games, and Sony will shine the spotlight on them in a big way come 2025.

PlayStation Worldwide Concert Tour is the latest addition to PlayStation’s 30th anniversary celebration plans. Billed as a globe-trotting musical tour, PlayStation The Concert will make its way to over 200 cities and feature performances from composers who worked on Sony’s most prominent first-party games, like Bear McCreary (God of War), Gustavo Santaolalla (The Last of Us), Ilan Eshkeri (Ghost of Tsushima), Joris De Man (Horizon), and more. As of right now, Sony has only announced European countries for PlayStation The Concert, but this list will grow in the near future to include the US and other major regions.
