POSTAL 2 Redux Announced

The crazy FPS game POSTAL 2, released in 2003, is returning after many years with a full-scale remake. Announced as POSTAL 2 Redux, this new version preserves the original form of the game while featuring radical innovations in terms of graphics, technique and gameplay.

POSTAL 2 Redux Coming to All Platforms

Developed in collaboration with Flat2VR Studios, Team Beef and Running With Scissors, POSTAL 2 Redux is being built from scratch on the Unity engine. The development team aims to not only rewrite the codes of the old POSTAL 2, but also create a game that will run smoothly on modern hardware and meet the visual requirements of the age. The exact platforms of the game, planned for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, Mac and Linux, will be clarified depending on the announcements to be made in the future.

One of the most striking innovations of the game will be the high-resolution textures supported by dynamic lighting and the completely open world structure without loading screens. The developers promise a Paradise experience where players can move from one end to the other without interruption, while the civilian AI, physics-based interactions and detailed interiors are also completely overhauled. Even the game’s loyal dog Champ returns with brand new animations and interactions.

POSTAL 2 Redux preserves the humor and chaotic structure of the original game, enriched with weapon mechanics, fragmented physics effects and a lot of new content. Players will now encounter more destruction and humor while performing their classic tasks. New weapons, an improved destruction system and the changing atmosphere of the game world throughout the day provide a strong reason to rediscover POSTAL 2.

The project, which will be supported by a Kickstarter campaign to be launched this summer, targets players who love both nostalgia and modern gaming dynamics. POSTAL 2 Redux is already on the radar list for those looking for a “borderless POSTAL experience”.
