Pragmata Trailer Released
Capcom’s upcoming sci-fi game Pragmata has finally got an update about release date.
New Information from Pragmata
Pragmata has been a very long time coming at this point. Originally teased back in 2020 with an extremely enigmatic trailer, the game has since been delayed multiple times. Despite the lack of new information, PlayStation fans haven’t given up on Pragmata, and now Capcom is revealing a lot more about the upcoming game, including its release window.
Pragmata’s new trailer reveals that the game now set to release in 2026. The trailer, while still largely maintaining the mystery around the game’s story, opens up with a promotional video for a company called Delphi Corporation. The trailer reveals that the company was promoting itself as “creating life for our future” through a combination of generative AI and its unique Lunafilament, showing a demonstration of building cities from the ground up on Earth. The promotional video may bring the Umbrella Corporation or even Resident Evil: Revelations 2’s TerraSave to mind. As soon as the promo ends, it cuts away to the characters and scenes fans are more familiar with: Diana and the newly-named astronaut, Hugh.
After a brief scene of Diana patching up Hugh and the characters introducing themselves to each other, the trailer breaks into combat, with Diana hopping onto Hugh’s left shoulder as he fights. Hugh appears to primarily use a laser pistol to fight, and can utilize his jet boots to boost across gaps or charge at enemies, temporarily staggering them. Meanwhile, Diana assists using her android abilities throughout, gaining access to areas by hacking terminals and hacking enemy robots to create combat openings. Most of the enemies the two will face look to be disintegrating broken-down robots, which may bring Resident Evil’s zombies to mind, but these fight with laser swords. The trailer concludes with Diana receiving her new name and a riff on the prior Pragmata trailer, which has changed the apology note Diana was scribbling into one announcing 2026 as the release window.
