PS Players Earn More XP in Battlefield 6
The long-awaited Battlefield 6 became the center of controversy almost immediately upon its release. With the review embargo lifted, new details began to emerge rapidly. The most striking difference is the exclusive XP (experience point) bonus available in the PlayStation 5 version. The PS5 version of the game grants players more XP than Xbox and PC versions.
Battlefield 6 Offers Exclusive XP Bonus for PlayStation Players
According to information shared on social media, the PS5 version of Battlefield 6 offers players a total XP boost of up to 15%. This percentage is limited to a maximum of 10% for Xbox and PC users. While the difference may seem small, it is considered a significant advantage, especially in the long-term progression system.
XP bonuses can be earned in three ways: Owning the game earns a 5% bonus, joining a party earns a 5% bonus, and being in a group with two or more PlayStation Plus subscribers earns an additional 5% bonus. So, PlayStation clearly prioritizes a system that encourages teamwork.
This difference is rumored to be part of a special partnership between Sony and EA DICE. It wouldn’t be surprising if Sony turned to Battlefield to balance the competition, especially after Microsoft acquired the Call of Duty franchise.
While this advantage may seem like a minor marketing detail, it’s significant enough to influence platform choice among players. Small differences, especially in the rank system, weapon upgrades, and cosmetic unlocks, can have significant consequences over extended gameplay.
While Battlefield 6 has been announced as ready for server congestion during its launch season, discussions about the game’s cross-platform balance have already begun. It appears PlayStation 5 users will have a head start on the digital battlefield this time around.
