PS Plus Extra Adds New Games on August 20
The PlayStation Plus subscription service is getting a major update this month. On August 20th, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is undoubtedly the most notable of the new games that will be added to the PS Plus Extra library. This update will offer subscribers a variety of popular titles alongside one of gaming’s biggest classics.

On August 20th, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Cult of the Lamb, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, Ride 5, and four games from the Sword Art Online series will be added to the PS Plus Extra library. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has made a name for itself in the gaming world since its release in 2015. It received near-universal critical acclaim, has since won multiple awards, and is among the highest-rated games of all time. This epic RPG offers players hundreds of hours of content with its deep story and expansive world.
Another notable game this month is Cult of the Lamb, one of the highest rated titles of 2022. The game recently received a major update that includes a co-op mode, allowing you to dive into the game’s dark world with your friends. In addition, a new paid DLC has also been added to the game.
Unfortunately, this update brings with it the removal of some games from the library. On August 20th, popular titles such as Destroy All Humans, Lost Judgment, NBA 2K24, Sea of Stars and more will be leaving PS Plus Extra. However, these losses are compensated with 10 new games added on the same day. Especially big titles like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cult of the Lamb will be of interest to subscribers.
The new additions include Ride 5 and Wild Hearts, which will be available exclusively for PS5. These games aim to utilize the PS5’s powerful hardware to give players improved graphics and performance. Other games will be available on both PS4 and PS5, offering a wide range of experiences for players.
